CRITICAL DATES FOR ADMISSION
For admission in the fall semester an application should be
submitted by February 15. Admission and graduate employment decisions will
be made by April 15 in most cases. The corresponding dates for January
admission are October 1 (application submitted) and November 1 (teaching
and research employment announcement).
REQUIREMENTS
Entry into graduate studies in the Department of Atmospheric
Sciences, UIUC, will be decided on the basis of undergraduate and graduate
transcripts, GRE scores and three letters of recommendation. Foreign
students from non-English speaking countries must submit a TOEFL score,
unless they have already obtained a degree from a US college or university.
An undergraduate grade point average of 3.0 (A=4.0) or higher is required.
TO APPLY:
- Submit the combined application for admission and graduate
employment to the Graduate Admissions Office with a non-refundable
processing fee (payable to the University of Illinois) of $40 for domestic
students or $50 for foreign students.
Please note:
University regulations forbid consideration of any
application for which an application fee has not been paid.
- Submit all transcripts, GRE scores, three letters of recommendation
and TOEFL score (foreign students only) to:
